Before you buy
Before coming into store, it is a good idea to take measurements of your room and doorways as this will provide a guide to the size of furniture required for your home. In addition, consider any potential access problems or awkward corners.

Think about the comfort and support you require from your suite. Do you need a very firm cushion to provide support or do you need soft cushions so that you can relax?

Consider the style of suite you require before considering colours as our range of sofas are available in a variety of shades and textures.

The type of leather you choose is also very important. Do you need leather that will withstand accidents such as spills or do you want leather that is less stain resistant but feels softer and looks more natural?

Our experienced Sales Consultants will help you make the right choice for your home.
About Leather
Leather is a natural material produced from animal hides. Initially it is very soft and supple; the way the leather is finished will determine its durability.

The leathers that undergo very little treatment and processing (aniline leathers) are soft to handle, extremely delicate and have little or no resistant to stains and strong light. Only carefully selected hides can be used for aniline leathers as its wholly natural qualities are visible.

Leathers that have been chemically treated or have received a pigmented finish (pigmented or corrected leathers) have a high resistance to stains, light and wear and tear. These “family Leathers” are suited to heavily used rooms, are easy to clean and require low maintenance.

As leather is a natural material, it has characteristics that can not be emulated. Each piece of leather is different and will bear marks tracing its origin. These natural markings may include grain differences, stretch marks, wrinkles, bites and scratches. The more natural the leather is, the more visible these markings may be, making your suite truly unique and you can guarantee that it is genuine and not an imitation.

Caring for you leather furniture
When your suite leaves the factory, it is carefully wrapped to protect it during transit, so once it is unwrapped in your home it may require a little time to reshape. To help this process you can ensure the room the sofa is in is not too cold, and you can plump up the cushions to help them reshape.

All furniture requires care and cleaning to maintain its quality and durability. We recommend that you purchase a care kit to ensure that your products always look their best. Our care kit contains a leather conditioner, ink remover, leather cleaner (pump spray) and a special cotton cloth. Your Sales Consultant will advise you whether the care kit is suitable for your furniture.

Our products come with a 12 month guarantee against manufacturing faults and there is also the opportunity to purchase an excellent five year warranty to cover your furniture against damage. Don’t forget to ask your Sales Consultant about it so it can be factored into your purchase.

Dos and Don’ts
Below are a few suggestions that will help you to maintain your furniture.
DO:
  • Ensure you use all the seats on the suite evenly. Avoid having a special seat as that can give your suite an uneven look.
  • Plump up the cushions regularly as this will help your suite keep the new look. (This may not be relevant for some for our models.)
  • Keep your suite free of dust and dirt.
  • Clean up any liquid spills immediately by blotting with a cloth or kitchen towels.
  • Take care when using recliners, a smooth motion will help the mechanism last longer. Always use the handle; never pull the recliner open from the bottom, or force the back down.
DO NOT:
  • Allow prolonged contact with non colourfast materials such as denim especially on light coloured suites, as such dyes may bleed into the surface sealant of the leather.
  • Expose your suite to prolonged periods of sunlight.
  • Place your suite close to a heat source such as a radiator (about 20cm away is sufficient).
  • Use chemicals or detergents to clean your suite. The correct cleaning and conditioning products can be purchased from our showroom, but we do not recommend these for all our leathers so please ask for advice before you buy.
  • Drag by pulling on the cushions or armrests. If moving a suite lift it from the base.
